The Open University partnership with The Open Polytechnic of New Zealand is a licensing agreement. Open University courses are licensed to OPNZ, who adapt the courses to suit the local culture and local forms of assessment, for its own award.
Currently three Open University Arts courses have been adapted as part of its Bachelor of Arts Humanities programme and five Social Science courses as part of the Bachelor of Arts Social Sciences.

S180 Life in the Oceans which is a component of their Marine Environment course.
