I absolutely loved this module, it's a great starting point for anyone wanting to get into the finance sector. By completing the module, you can register with the IAB *International Association of Bookkeepers" which can really kick-start your career in terms of work experience in the sector.

The module shows you the layouts for many of the financial statements you will encounter in the finance sector, along with providing students with the ethical side of accounting too.

The module was very straight forward and easy to follow. The exam can be very intimidating, as you spend all your time studying online, and then have to sit an exam in an exam centre with no module materials in sight, most of the exam was statement layouts, but it does have some wordy parts, so it is essential to learn all of the module material, and not just the statements.

I had some issues with my tutor to begin with, but that was smoothed out by the OU, and by the end I had a great experience with the module. There's also day schools as well as a vast array of online tutorials. Online materials as well as books for study.

This module was definitely one of the best modules Ive done so far

The materials were very easy to understand, and being someone who's always been good with figures, this module really did suit me.

The only criticism I have about it is the amount of corrections, erratas and clarifications that were in the books, as I would have thought personally these would have been checked over prior to publication, but other than that, I was in my element the whole period I did the module.
