Personally, lacking any previous exposure to management experience, this was a challenging module. The concepts, theories and processes were new to me and sometimes difficult to apply to situations in my daily work. Some topics, such as supervision, work place identity and team working, were very interesting and did more easily extrapolate into my work place.

I found the TMAs difficult, and they required significant effort to work through, and would advise all students to engage fully with the 'going further' sections allocated in the module timetable.

This module needs significance commitment that must be maintained throughout. Likewise, the exam required substantial study.
I did enjoy the module, but was disappointed with my overall result. Appreciate support and guidance from the course tutor.

I enjoyed studying this module. It was the second time I attempted it as the first time round I felt the workload overwhelming and wasn't quite ready to study it. My course tutor this time round was extremely supportive. I found the course content although it was a health and social care model, was more geared towards the theory of leadership models with few in depth examples of the different areas of healthcare practice and settings in which the models could be applied.

I did however find the course quite easy to understand and follow and it has given me a good foundation for future practice. I am now studying K311 which requires reflective journal writing which in turn leads to taking responsibility for improving your practice and I feel the skills learned in K313 are proving useful.

I did wonder the relevance to health and social care at the beginning of the course due to the lack of examples but in hindsight this has probably been one of my favourite modules within my BSc Health and social care degree and one which I will continually refer to in the future.
