I was surprised and delighted with my result on this module and on the whole, I found the material interesting, so much so that I often digressed, performing more research than was required.
However, my main concern lies with the inline discussions. Now, my interpretation of a discussion is that someone posts a comment and everyone else reads it and comments, etc. When I commented on a post, no one responded and I felt that reading dozens of comments without discussion was not a good use of my time, so I stopped participating. Whilst there may have been some useful and interesting comments, sifting them out was difficult. Although the range of comments would have been more limited, I felt that the inline discussions should have been limited to tutor groups rather than module wide. Interestingly, as the course progressed fewer people posted in these discussions.

Each of the views expressed above is an individual's very particular response, largely unedited, and should be viewed with that in mind. Since modules are subject to regular updating, some of the issues identified may have already been addressed. In some instances the faculty may have provided a response to a comment.
