I greatly enjoyed this and found that it really did improve my French.
The online materials were simple to work through and built up language concepts nicely. I particularly liked following 6 individual characters closely through the whole year, adding a personal element to what could just have been dry grammar.
The tutor sessions were planned and run well, with engaging content and supportive tutors.

This is a fresh module with good materials.
There was good use of the forum and the profs took a healthy interest in what we wrote.
My greatest difficulty concerned my starting level - please see my review of L192 for details of this.
The module builds on L192 and is certainly not for beginners. I would not recommend doing both together.
As with L192, there is a definite technique required for a good tutor-marked assignment and this is probably just as important as making progress with the language.
Overall a good module which I thoroughly recommend.

I attended the first presentation of this module. There were quite a few errors in the material, which apparently could not be corrected while the module was in progress. I hope the OU can fix this, so that errors in the online material can be updated as soon as they are spotted.
The tutors was great and the online tutorials very useful in terms of practising conversation and getting tips for the tutor-marked assignments.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. The module was in its first presentation and indeed, it contained a number of mistakes. However, we can confirm that the print and online versions have now been amended. We hope that you are enjoying the rest of your studies at the OU.
