I loved this module!!! Every part fascinated me and that pushed me to want to learn more. The content is really well laid out and the mix of media content was brilliant for all learners. There were lots of videos to accompany the written sections that explained the processes really clearly in small stages.

My tutor was switched mid year, which you would expect to cause problems but it didn't; both were great and kept us all going. The tutorials were brilliant and fun to attend; they also make great revision tools.

The assignments were challenging as they all include essays. Some students really struggled to do the essays and there was a lot of chatter on Facebook about it. There are some open learn courses that focus on essay's that I'd suggest students complete if they feel this is a weakness prior to starting this course.

The rest of the assignments focus on data, graphs and short answer questions that are pretty simple to understand and answer.

This module has an exam in June as the final assignment. This also has an essay based on the final section of your choice. I chose fertility and reproduction - it was fantastic and I loved this section the most.

I managed to achieve a distinction on this module but it took some serious effort and a lot of time so be prepared to work hard.

I enjoyed this module. I had a fantastic tutor and that really helped. The course content is interesting and fairly easy to understand but there's a lot to read.

I tried to do this module alongside SK298 but found the two together too much for me with working almost full time (and trying to have some sort of a social life) as there is double the tutorials, so I deferred SK298 until October. SK299 is a 30-credit module but it felt more like a 60-credit one. The exam was okay, it was remote with 3 hours to do it and a further hour to upload everything.

I would start reading up on your chosen subject for the second part of the exam early as you will be doing an essay on it. I chose musculoskeletal; the other two choices were either stress or fertility & reproduction.

I loved this module as it's exactly where my interest lies, human biology and physiology. It takes each of the physiological systems individually and goes into each of them in-depth and also shows where there is a linkage between them, i.e. cardiovascular system and respiratory system as an example. The tutor-marked assignments are very doable and quite enjoyable and are structured to really enhance your understanding of the topics covered.

This module also develops your skills around data analysis and reporting which I too found very enjoyable. There is a lot of detail and work to complete but if you keep on top of it and attend tutorials etc., it's all very manageable. Great module.

This module was straightforward and the materials clear. Tutorials were informative, going over the relevant module material recently studied, though weren't always timed well, many people found the tutorials covered topics too early. There was a lot to cover for 30 credits. It was disappointing that none of the tma marks contribute to the result other than reaching a threshold to take the exam. The 3 hour exam itself focussed on only a few parts of the module, yet you have to revise a huge amount of material. It's a shame this isn't a 60 credit module.
