Management expertise on offer as The Open University launches business club

The Open University is embarking on an exciting new venture to launch Complexity Management, a business club open to all organisations, whether in the public, private or not-for-profit sectors.

Dr Elizabeth McMillan from the University’s Centre for Complexity and Change said: “The club will provide members with the latest management research and an opportunity to share best practice. It will also reinforce our close links with industry and open up a greater pool of research data.”

The Club is a cross-faculty project, and will draw on the expertise of staff in the OU Business School and in the Faculty of Mathematics, Computing and Technology.

Dr Ysanne Carlisle from the OU Business School explained: “Depending on the level of membership, members will have access to free research and consultancy days, management clinics, workshops and networking events.”

The Club will go live in June. Free ‘Taster’ sessions will be offered in Milton Keynes on 1 April and London on 20 February, with more dates planned for May and June.

For further information and to reserve a place at a taster session, please email Dr Elizabeth McMillan, m.e.mcmillan@open.ac.uk or Dr Ysanne Carlisle, y.m.carlisle@open.ac.uk
