The student's perspective

Tabea Müller of Hamburg collected her Open University BSc Honours degree at London's Royal Festival Hall last year. 'Studying with the OU is a real challenge' she says, looking back over four years studying in a foreign language while working in a demanding job. 'You have to set priorities to find sufficient time and energy for course work. However, the OU experience is rewarding - it offers highly relevant, well organised materials which help to enhance professional as well as personal development.' Tabea has also enjoyed the social aspects of her study: 'I made lots of friends throughout the globe and travelled to summer schools and tutorials'. She is now taking a rest before deciding what to do next. 'I am not sure yet where my degree will lead me to, but the last four years have been both hard work and great fun! When you join the OU community be warned - you could become addicted!'
