The student's perspective
Ramon Gomez works for Eurostat (the statistical offices of the European Commission) and has just reached the end of his studies towards an MBA. 'The OU has been the major educational event in my professional life' he says. 'I chose the OU for its flexible approach; it has allowed me to combine job, family, church ministry and university studies.' Ramon himself has demonstrated the flexible and portable aspect of study with the OU; due to his other commitments, the time available for study was limited. 'I was often able to use only one little hour per day, many times in most incredible places - on the beach, in a cafeteria, in the doctors waiting room. Thanks to the OU, I could make the most of that little hour'.
