In Mainland Europe Introduction


The Open University is the United Kingdom's largest and most innovative university with more than 250,000 people worldwide studying its courses. Since its establishment by Royal Charter in 1969, the university has opened the door to higher education for more than 2 million people.

Over 6,000 students are currently studying with the Open University in continental Europe.

Anyone interested in studying with us in continental Europe can contact the Regional Centre in Gateshead. We accept students from all countries of the enlarged EU and Switzerland.

In many European countries we have local co-ordinators, choose a country for specific contact details. In other countries of the EU, you must contact us in Gateshead directly.

We also run events in many European countries, to find out if there is an Open University event near you choose a country.
