The student's perspective
Nedra Rivera Huntington works as a freelance translator and English teacher in Madrid, and has been studying with the OU since 1999. 'At 18 I chose not to attend university, opting instead for the 'school of life'. I've never regretted it, but in my early 30's I felt the need for something more mentally challenging so I decided to embark on an OU degree in History and Classical Studies.' Nedra particularly appreciates the flexibility of studying with the OU; 'you can choose courses to fit your available time, your varied interests and your individual goals.'
