Roles & requirements
Appointments for summer residential schools will be advertised during January and February 2012. The schools will be held in June, July and August. Accommodation is provided, usually in standard undergraduate rooms, and you will need to be fully resident at the site throughout your appointment.
Schools will be held at the Universities of Bath, Nottingham, Sussex, York, Queen Mary College University of London and Kindrogan Field Studies Centre. Modern language schools will also be held at Caen, Jena and Santiago.

Applications from Open University associate lecturers, host University staff and other academics who have appropriate qualifications and experience are invited for these posts.
For tutor, senior tutor and group tutor positions, Open University associate lecturers with appropriate experience will usually be given preference over equally well-qualified external applicants (whether those applicants have successful residential school experience or not).

School directors and school administrators are appointed for each residential school venue. The roles are open to OU salaried staff only; Applicants for the school director role must be grade 8 or above and for the school administrator role must be grade 7 or above.
