How to pay

Three ways to pay

If you are paying for some or all of the cost yourself, we can still help to make things easy for you. Not only do you pay for a course at a time, rather than up-front for an entire qualification, but you can also spread the cost of the course.

You have a choice about payment methods, so choose the most convenient for you.

Tokens and vouchers

OU gift vouchers

OU gift vouchers make an inspiring present, ideal if you’re looking for an unusual gift for someone special. Or ask family and friends to support your own study by buying vouchers for special occasions. Find out more about buying or redeeming vouchers.

Tesco Clubcard reward tokens

The terms and conditions relating to the use of Tesco Clubcard Rewards Tokens for University courses will be changing in June. Until 31st May 2010, students can continue to use Tokens as full or part payment for any undergraduate level course that is open for registration. From 1st June 2010, Tokens may only be used as full or part payment towards Level One courses. If a student has sufficient Tokens, they may register on a Level 2 or 3 course starting on or after 1st June 2010, providing that Student Services receive the registration agreement and tokens by 31st May 2010.

Sponsorship

Sponsorship means your employer pays your fees. If the course or qualification you’ve chosen is geared towards your job or developing your career, you could ask your employer to sponsor you by paying some or all of the fees.

We’ll send you information and a sponsorship form in your registration pack. If your employer is paying up front, you make a registration as usual, indicating that you will be sponsored and the OU will invoice your employer.

If your employer is reimbursing you, the OU will send an academic transcript when you have completed the course.
