Research interests in the Statistics Group include methodological development and applications of statistics in all areas, including medicine, ecology, environment, social science, the behavioural sciences, traffic networks and archaeology. Specific areas of interest include:

  • The Statistics Group is one of the top 20 statistics groups in the country, as evidenced by the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE).
  • We have a small (typically five) but excellent group of full-time research students, complemented by a few part-timers.
