Research interests in the Statistics Group include methodological development and applications of statistics in all areas, including medicine, ecology, social science, the behavioural sciences, traffic networks and archaeology. Specific areas of interest include:

Key facts

  • The Statistics Group is one of the top 20 statistics groups in the country as evidenced by the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE).
  • We have a small (typically 5) but excellent group of full-time research students, complemented by a number of part-timers.
