Description

The Professional Certificate in Management provides a broad-based, practical introduction to the key ideas, techniques and overall competencies you need in order to manage effectively and productively in modern organisations in any part of the world. It will enable you to use and understand the methods, techniques and language of the various functional areas of your company or organisation.

The Professional Certificate in Management is ideally suited to the needs and aspirations of both those who are new to management and those who need wider managerial understanding and abilities. The emphasis is on your own professional development. Everything you study is related to the management roles and responsibilities you exercise, and the elements of the programme – course texts, activities and assignments, online resources, and personal and group support – ensure that you can immediately apply newly learned skills, knowledge and techniques in very practical ways. You can build on your experience and make direct links to your management development needs wherever you are in the world, whatever the size of your organisation and whether it is in the commercial or the public sector.

The Professional Certificate is a recognised qualification in its own right, and is also a route into our Professional Diploma in Management (D64) , which gives direct access to our MBA (F02). It can also count as an option in the BA (Honours) Business Studies (B04) degree. The two courses, B628/BZX628 and B629/BZX629 are compulsory options in the BA (Hons) Leadership and Management (B54) degree.
