This qualification is relevant to you if you work in any aspect of health and social care, although particularly if you work in the NHS and within voluntary sector agencies and charities – for example in befriending schemes or as an advocacy and support worker. The certificate will provide theory to underpin your support roles, and is a good starting point from which to enter a range of professional roles.

On successful completion of the required courses you will be awarded a Certificate in Mental Health Studies. You will be entitled to use the letters Cert Men Hlth Stud (Open) after your name.
