Description
Please note that this Diploma in Classical Studies is being replaced by the Diploma of Higher Education in Humanities (E64).
In order to claim the Diploma in Classical Studies you must have completed the required 120 credits by 31 December 2011. If you have any questions about your eligibility for this qualification please contact the Qualifications and Ceremonies Centre on +44(0) 1908 653003 or by email.
This diploma is for those who want to obtain a qualification that indicates that they have knowledge and training in the skills of classical studies. It is also suitable for those who wish to update their knowledge and skills in classical studies. It is a suitable qualification if you do not want to complete a full degree or if you want to obtain an interim qualification on the way to fulfilling the requirements for a degree.
How to register
Registration is not yet open for this qualification. For an autumn 2012 start, registration opens on 27 March 2012. If you would like to register your interest, you can order our free guide to studying in 2012.

Credit for previous study elsewhere
If you have already completed some successful study at higher education level at another institution we may be able to give you credit that you can count towards this Open University qualification. Further details will be available when registration opens for this qualification.
On completion
On successful completion of the required modules you will be awarded a Diploma in Classical Studies and will be entitled to use the letters Dip Classical Studs (Open) after your name.
